5 Years of 3Deus Dynamics – From Breakthrough Technology to Industrial Reality
In just five years, 3Deus Dynamics has grown from a research-driven innovation into a deeptech company shaping the future of silicone additive manufacturing.
Founded in October 2020, the company was built around a disruptive process — Dynamic Molding — and a clear ambition: push beyond the limits of conventional 3D printing to deliver industrial, high-performance solutions. This anniversary marks a key milestone in a journey defined by technological breakthroughs, industrial validation, and strategic growth across cutting-edge markets.
1 Breakthrough Technology: Dynamic Molding
At the core of 3Deus Dynamics lies Dynamic Molding, a patented additive manufacturing process operating within a granular medium.
This hybrid approach — between 3D printing and molding — enables the fabrication of parts without molds, without chemical reformulation, without support structures, and without geometric limitations.
Compatible with all injectable materials available on the market, Dynamic Molding also makes it possible to manufacture enhanced silicone materials by directly incorporating functional powders into the material itself. This opens the door to advanced properties such as fire resistance, electrical conductivity, or electromagnetic shielding.
Born from a CNRS research program and developed in close collaboration with the 3d.FAB platform, this technology has become the foundation of 3Deus Dynamics’ industrial differentiation.
2 Cutting-Edge Markets
Healthcare
In healthcare, 3Deus Dynamics develops 3D-printed silicone anatomical models, designed for preclinical validation and medical training. These models replicate human anatomy with high fidelity and are used to support complex procedures, enabling practitioners to train and validate approaches under realistic conditions.
The company achieved a major milestone in 2023 with the ISO 13485 medical certification, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for healthcare innovation.
Aerospace & Defense
In aerospace and defense, 3Deus Dynamics addresses critical needs where performance, reliability, and sovereignty are essential.
A landmark achievement was reached in 2025 with the first soft, 3D-printed silicone seal with electromagnetic shielding properties successfully airborne — a world-first demonstrating the industrial maturity of Dynamic Molding for flight-ready applications.
This momentum was reinforced by 3Deus Dynamics being named the winner of the France 2030 i-DÉMO innovation challenge as a project leader, securing €3.7 million to industrialize the production of high-performance silicone components for aerospace and defense. This project supports the deployment of a multi-robotic, AI-driven production line capable of manufacturing up to 48,000 parts per year, strengthening French and European industrial sovereignty.
3 Bold Founders
3Deus Dynamics was founded by Julien Barthès, Edwin‑Joffrey Courtial, and Christophe Marquette — three entrepreneurs combining scientific excellence, industrial vision, and entrepreneurial drive.
Coming respectively from physics, materials science, and bioengineering research within the CNRS ecosystem, the founders brought together complementary expertise spanning advanced materials, rheology, additive manufacturing, and applied research. From the outset, their shared objective was clear: transform a laboratory breakthrough into a scalable, industrial technology capable of addressing real-world challenges.
This vision has guided every stage of 3Deus Dynamics’ development — from early research grants and seed funding to certified medical applications, aerospace qualification milestones, large-scale industrial projects, and growing international ambitions.
4 Flagship Product Families
Over five years, the company has structured its offering around four flagship product families, directly aligned with its two core markets:
- Standard Aortic Models
- Patient-Specific Aortas
- Electromagnetic Shielding Seals
- Fire-Resistant Seals
These products illustrate the versatility of Dynamic Molding — from medical applications requiring precision and realism to aerospace components meeting extreme performance constraints.
5 Years of 3Deus Dynamics – And What’s Next
From its creation in 2020 to the inauguration of a dedicated production plant in Rillieux-La-Pape and the internalization of various existing silicone 3D printing technologies, 3Deus Dynamics has followed a steady, structured growth path.
Looking ahead, the company is entering a new phase: industrialization, scale-up, and international development, supported by strong institutional backing, advanced infrastructure, and a growing portfolio of high-impact projects.
3Deus Dynamics now has a presence on two continents: Europe and North America, with the addition of a Montreal-based Business Developer to support and accelerate commercial development in a strategic geographical area.
Five years after its creation, 3Deus Dynamics has already established a solid technological foundation and is now entering a phase of industrialization and scale-up.
